Yan Ton Heen – Chinese** in Hong Kong

Our first dining stop in Hong Kong 2016 fitted well with staying at the Intercontinental as this is also the location of Yan Ton Heen. Recognized with 2 starts by Michelin and confirmed by a very high spot on TripAdvisor had made me reserve and look forward to this visit.
We have checked in to the hotel, had a swim in the pool with a view and a refresher in the lobby bar. Now it’s time for some fine food by the famous chef Lau Yiu Fai
When dining fine in Hong Kong, the bill tends to add up. Especially when adding wine to the equation.
Tender, moist and tasty – the duck was as good as the best of them and the servings were well presented.
Service was at all times flawless, friendly and correct. I will happily return to Yan Ton Heen at next chance to sample many more dishes and hopefully also dim sum.
Lessons Learned
  • You can play with the condiments of your Peking duck
  • Fine wine cost more in Asia
  • Life is good…
